Virtual pets are sooo cool
Hi everyone. I have just adopted a pet not a real one but a virtual pet from http://www.foopets.com/ It is a German shepard. Check it out down the bottom of tis page. His name is storm and he likes to play with the frisbee. Oh and by the way if you adopt a pet you can get together with friends play with their pets. There is no limit of what you can do on Foo pets. So you can check it out for yourself and have a fun time playing with your own Foo pet.

Greg Murphy
Hi hope you all had a great holiday. Sorry I didn't get around to blogging, had a lot on and hey it's the holidays. This post is about my favourite V8 driver Greg Murphy. Greg Murphy is a 4 time winner of the Bathurst. In V8 supercars Bathurst is the holy grail of racing. Greg currently hold the record lap time for Bathurst and this year came 8 thousandths of a second of third but was happy with the result. Here is that blasting lap hope you like it.

Why I am needed on this earth
Were will I be in ten years? Well I just will be taking it one day at a time for now but first off I hope to join one of the forces. But the one that catches my eye the most is the air force and becoming a parachute instructor but I would need A minimum of school C or 12 NCEA basic level 1 credits in English and Mathematics. It would be a tough road but my Dad has been in the forces and says it gives you a real insight to life. He also told me how when you go full time you get accomidation, food new mates and guess what ... you get paid for it.

My learning intrests
Hi everyone. I am here to tell you about my learning interests and what I would specifically like to learn. Mr Woody asked us in class about our own specific learning. I would like to learn about...
- Creating our own movie ( without too many arguments)
- Greek and roman mythology
- Computer system programs like HTML
- plant earth and beyond ( horoscopes as well)
- And probably my personal favourite origins of ancient Martial arts

The science roadshow
Yesterday we were able to experience the true fun and education of the science roadshow. This year Fonterra has come to the party and become their main sponser of the roadshow. This year seven hundred schools across the nation are able to have the same excitment as we did.
Top spin: Prime Minister John Key tries out a spinning chair at Mirimar South School, Wellington during the National Science Technology Roadshow sponsored by Fonterra.

V8s at the clipsal 500
Results of the Clipsal 500
With two fords starting on the front row it wasn't a good look for the holden fans especially with Lowndes and Whincup on pol. but with strong competition like Garth Tander on there backs it would be an exciting start to the season.
But after the first race the Ford fans were looking shaken as there were two holdens on the podium (YEAH!!!) but Jamie Whincup still managed to clench first. With the closest kiwi being Shane Van- Gisbergen in the SP tools ford falcon.
In the second race Whincup still managed to hold his lead but there was pressure on his back from two strong drivers from the Toll racing team (they're holden). So it was a great weekend for racing and some great results.

My Favourite artist
Marc Chagall
Marc Chagalls images were mostly based around his current time and his childhood dreams.
I really like his paintings because of the emotion he put in to them and actally alot of the times you'll see a chicken hidden in his paintings. He did alot of paintings about he and his wife and they were full of colour. When his wife died he painted her on her death bed with basically only black and white.
School stuff
Things at school are just getting sorted out. It's just work as normal, Yr 7s are getting to know everyone and the school. Fairfield is a great school and everyone is friendly.

V8's to the Tron
This is my favourite team in the V8s and they rule!
Four Bathurst victories – 96, ’99, ’03 and ‘04 – coupled with Greg Murphy’s often outspoken, but easy-going nature, have made him a firm favourite with race fans.View Greg's full profile
As a second generation racer, Jason Bargwanna made his racing debut at 16 years of age competing in a variety of categories including Formula Vee, Formula Ford and Formula Brabham.View Jason's full profile

Rugby dancing to the tune of broadcasters creates problems
Sixteen thousand to a rugby league pre-season warm up jolly at North Harbour Stadium. No, I'm not joking. And that figure on the back of eleven thousand watching an earlier Warriors’ trial in Hamilton.
Those crowd numbers will of course have the critics preaching how rugby union bosses should be worried and hitting the panic button.
Well sorry about this but union bosses should have already hit the panic button over the pathetic crowd numbers turning up at Super 14 games.
But are they really that concerned? Let’s face it, gate takings pale in comparison to the almighty broadcasting dollar. And as long as rugby dances to the tune of broadcasters then the problems like playing in February, night games, and overall rugby overkill will continue to drive attendances down.
There's also the small matter of the best cricket team in the world, India, being here until early April.
This is all the info about sport from Hamish Mckay
